Amjad Sabri was people’s artist. He lived in a humble area of Karachi and his car was small sedan, not bullet-proof as seen by politicians. People of Pakistan thought Amjad as their brother and son, and could easily relate to him. His death made the entire nation cry, and that’s what his murderers desired. He was also a exceptional Sufi singer, famed for his Naat Sharif such as Balaghal Ulla Be Kamale Hi , Mera Koi Nahi Hai Tere Siva (Rehman Ramdan), and Bhar Do Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad [S.A.W]. Sects such as Taliban oppose such. Regardless, Amjad Sabri’s assassination was the most deplorable and heinous acts. He was one of the most hardworking musicians. Despite his demise, Amjad Sabri’s Hamd, Naat, and Qawwalis remains with us to make us remind what a great artists he was. http://ift.tt/2ih5p5S
