Today is night of 27 Rajab, the night of Miraj Sharif when Prophet made overnight journey to Jerusalem as well as a journey to heavens and hell over a mythical flying creature called the Al-Buraq, which has a face of human and body of horse with wings. Some Muslims gather at their local mosque for prayers, while others celebrate at home by telling the story of Muhammad's journey to children and reciting prayers at night.
