Anecdotes of Ahmad-e Khazruya A thief broke into Ahmad-e Khazruya’s house. He searched everywhere but could not find anything. He was about to leave disappointed when Ahmad called out to him. “Young fellow, take the bucket and draw water from the well and purify yourself, then attend to your prayers. When something comes I will give it to you, so that you shall not leave my house empty-handed.” The youth did as Ahmad bade him. When daylight returned, a gentleman brought a hundred dinars and gave them to the Shaikh. “Take this as a reward for your night of prayer,” he said to the thief. The thief suddenly trembled all over. He burst into tears. “I had mistaken the road,” he cried. “I worked for God just one night, and He has favoured me so.” Repenting, he returned to God. He refused to take the gold, and became one of Ahmad’s disciples.......

What is Sufism? - We try to understand Sufism in light of Quotes by Mevlana Rumi, read at http://ift.tt/2t96x33 Sufi on discovering God Cross and Christians, end to end, I examined. He was not on the Cross. I went to the Hindu Temple, to the ancient pagoda. In none of them there was any sign. To the heights of Herat I went and to Kandhar, I looked. He was not on the elevation not on the low lands. Resolutely I went to summit of the fabulous mountain of Ka’af. There was only the dwelling of the Anqa bird.I went to Kaaba at Mecca. He was not there. I asked him from Avicenna the philosopher. He was beyond the range of Avicenna, I looked into my own heart. In that place I saw him. He was in no other place. #rumi

STORY BY HAZRAT M. R BAWA MUHIAYADDEEN R.A Once a dog said to a crow,“l want to go to a place where .l can find enough water to satisfy my thirst, enough to drink in big mouth fuls. So far I have only been able to lick water from puddles. and my carving has not been satisfied.” The crow led him to a huge lake and watched as the dog lapped at the water. The crow was surprised. “Why are you still licking the water? There is plenty of water here. Why don’t you take big mouthfuls?” The dog replied sadly,“only today have I realized the curb of the saying: No matter where a dog goes, it has to lick in order to drink water." ********* From the book THE GOLDEN WORDS OF SUFI SHEIKH
