Story from Rumi's Masnavi: The Divine Triumph of Hazrat Jaafar Tayaar Hazrat Jafar al-Tayyar, was a companion of prophet Muhammad and elder brother of Ali. He was the third son of Hazrat Abu Talib, hence a cousin of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Hazrat Jafar was a fearless warrior, revered and feared by many. His unswerving devotion to Allah had earned him a reputation that extended far beyond the borders of his land. One fateful day, news reached him of a heavily fortified castle that had been causing turmoil in the region. The castle was controlled by a tyrannical ruler, and his reign of terror had to be stopped. Undeterred by the daunting odds, Hazrat Jaafar embarked on a journey to face the fortress alone. Armed with only his faith and an unwavering determination, he set out towards the towering walls that guarded the heart of the castle. The ruler and his men scoffed at the sight of a lone warrior challenging their might. As Hazrat Jaafar approached the castle, he raised his hands to the sky and offered his prayers to Allah. His heart resonated with a sense of purpose and assurance, for he believed that he was not truly alone – the divine presence was with him. With each step, his confidence grew, and a tranquil courage enveloped him. Unbeknownst to the ruler and his forces, a miraculous transformation was occurring within the walls of the castle. The ground beneath them quivered, and the foundations of their pride crumbled. Panic spread among the ruler's men as they witnessed the very fortress they considered impervious trembling as if in the throes of an earthquake. Amidst the chaos, the wise wazir of the ruler stepped forward, his eyes filled with a mixture of awe and understanding. He addressed the ruler and his assembly, advising them to reconsider their stance. He spoke of Hazrat Jaafar's unyielding faith and the divine intervention that was manifesting before their very eyes. The wazir urged them not to be deceived by the appearance of a solitary warrior, for it was evident that a higher Divine power was at play. It became a story of faith triumphing over fear, of a lone soul with an unbreakable bond with the divine reshaping the course of history. The lesson that prevailed was clear: When one's heart is attuned to the higher power, even the strongest fortresses of adversity tremble and yield. #Rumi

The Hidden Secret of True Growth "What is true growth?" A young scholar asked the Sufi Master, puzzled. The Sufi Master guided the scholar's gaze to a towering tree. "Impressive, isn't it? But winter will rob it of its grandeur." Confused, the scholar asked, "How does this relate to growth?" The Sufi Master elaborated, "Your knowledge and wealth mirror this tree. They glow in life's sunlight but will vanish in the icy hands of death." "What then, defines true growth?" queried the scholar. The Sufi Master presented a vivid comparison. "Look at the tree's roots. Hidden but vital. They anchor and nourish the tree." "Your intentions are your roots," he explained. "They may be invisible, but they're the source of your spiritual growth. Unlike material accumulation, which fades away with death, spiritual growth rooted in right intentions is ever-lasting, and continues to benefit you beyond this life." "Actions are according to intentions, and everyone will get what was intended.” ***For more Sufi stories click our website link: https://ift.tt/rMQ3B8k

The Company of Fool: Sufi Story from Mevlana Rumi's Masnavi Hazrat Isa A.S. [Jesus] was one walking briskly towards a mountain as he is was afraid of something. “Is there something that you are concerned about? I don’t see any enemy behind you”, a person asked him. “I am running away from the company of fool”, the great Prophet replied. The person was astonished at hearing such reply. “Are you not the prophet with so many miracles? You are the one who can bring dead back to life, who cure blinds of their disability and who creates birds of clay and they start flying?” “Yes I the one whom Allah blessed with miracles. I used His name of dead and blind and they were cured, but I have tried the same ‘Ism-e-Azam’ on the fools a million times, but nothing cures him!” “Isn’t foolishnesses a disease?”, the person asked? “Yes, but this disease is Allah’s wrath [hence, my miracle have no effect on the fool!]” https://ift.tt/GJcUjVW #sufism
