"Khub dar guzasht-e-mo az qalandar'i, Kashf-i-raqq-o-majaz az qalandar'i." Translation: "I have gained much by being a wanderer in the path of the dervishes. I have been able to unveil the mystery of the real and the unreal by being a dervish." Tonight, 18 Ramadan, is the urs of Hazrat Naseeruddin Mahmud Chiragh Dehlvi. He was a 14th-century mystic-poet and a Sufi saint of the Chishti Order. He was a murid (disciple) of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya and later his khalifa (successor). He was the last recognised khalifa of the Chishti Order from Delhi and was given the title, "Roshan Chiragh-e-Delhi", which in Urdu means "Illuminated Lamp of Delhi". His shrine is located in Delhi, India. May we all get his blessings.
