Medina Munawara is the city of hospitality, which welcomes pilgrims all over the world with open arms. When people of Makkah including his own family turn against Prophet Muhammad SAW, it was Medina so welcomed him and stood by through difficult times. Prophet started open-to-all Iftar in Medina and even today after 1400 years Medina still hosts Iftars across Masjid-e-Nabwi every Ramadan across its roads.
