Mevlana Jelaludin Rumi What shall I be? I’ve again and again grown like grass. I’ve experienced seven hundred and seventy moulds I died from minerality and become vegetable And from vegetative-ness I died and become animal I died from animality and became man Then why fear disappearance through death? For the next time I shall die Bring forth wings and feathers like angels After that soaring higher than angels What you cannot imagine I shall be that. ******************************************** See more click our website link: http://ift.tt/15X07Dg
Short Sufi Story... A sultan was riding through the country surrounded by courtiers and soldiers. Everybody bowed as the sultan passed, except for a single dervish. The sultan halted his procession and had the dervish brought to him. He demanded to know why the man did not bow to him. The dervish replied. “Let all these people bow to you. They all want what you have-money, power, rank. Thank God these things mean nothing to me.” Then he added. “Furthermore, a free man should not bow down to a slave.” “What do you mean?” the sultan cried. “You are a slave to anger and greed,” the dervish said calmly, looking the sultan full in the face. “I have made them my servants and become a free man.” Recognizing the truth of what he heard, the sultan bowed to the dervish.......

Gham-e-Ashiqi Se Pehle Mujhe Kon Jantaa Tha? Tere Zaat [SAW] Ne Bana Di Meri Zindagi Fasaana! Before Sorrow Of Love Of Prophet, Who in World Knew Me? You Elevated Being Has Made My Life A Story [That Everyone Knows] 'Is Karam Ka Karon Shukar Kaise Adaa' is a beautiful Naat that Nusrat Sahib used to perform in Faisalabad in reverence of Prophet SAW. These words also truly depict Life of Nusrat Sahib, as Allah raised this Ashiq-e-Rasool from nobody to a celebrity whose voice is heard and loved from Hollywood to Japan [where people saw him as reincarnation of Buddha]. Hazrat Shams Tabrez R.A Knowing these people (perfect adepts) is more difficult then knowing God. It is possible to know God by reasoning. Have you seen a wood carving? There must have been a carver. It certainly did not carve itself. But these people, who look like you outwardly, are different within. To know a wood carver is easy, but what about that carver [perfect adept] ? What about his glory? What about his being infinite? Only these people know all that, but never do they speak of it. We infer God ’s existence through his creation, but only Sheikhs (MURSHID) can truly know Sheikhs.

Sufi Saying..... Absolute faith in God is great. Greater yet is your duty. Greater yet are good conduct and modesty, Sincerity, reserve, and fear of wrongdoing. Greater yet are God's qualities, His actions and His conduct. Greater yet is for a perfected man To act with God’s qualities, Surrendering to Him as His slave. One who realizes this and acts accordingly will be a sun that gives light and peace to the whole world.....

Sufi Short Story “Which is the sound most sweet to the ears and to the heart of a man?" asked a mureed to Sheikh. “The sweetest sounds in a man's life are the words of a baby. The baby’s words are God’s words. They do not contain deceit or treachery. They are words of peace, the sounds of God’s grace,” answered the sheikh. “They do not have the world or feelings of divisiveness in them. Those sounds and words of God will be loved by everyone.”

Khuda khud meer-e majlis bood andar laamakan Khusrau; Muhammad shamm-e mehfil bood shab jaay ki man boodam. Translation: I wonder what was the place where I was last night, All around me were half-slaughtered victims of love, tossing about in agony. There was a nymph-like beloved with cypress-like form and tulip-like face, Ruthlessly playing havoc with the hearts of the lovers. God himself was the master of ceremonies in that heavenly court, oh Khusrau, where (the face of) the Prophet too was shedding light like a candle.

Short Sufi Story.... A disciple asked the Sheikh,“ O my true Sheikh, father of my soul, which is the sweetest honey in the world? There are so many kinds of honey. and all are sweet to the taste, but I want to know which one will dispel my karma, my sins. and the hunger of my soul? Which is the most exalted honey for the body and for the soul?" The Sheikh spoke. “Son, that is the honey of the qualities of God. His selfless duties, His actions, and His non-attached service. It is the honey of His three thousand gracious attributes, which give peace and comfort to all lives, honey mingled with His grace, honey that melts and oozes from the flower which blooms with the fragrance of wisdom. When that melting honey cascades from the Bower of the heart, it attracts all lives to the love that soothes the heart. The honey of grace is the honey which all lives savor. It is the most exalted honey. “In both the world of the souls and the next world, for the cage of the body, for the soul, for God, and for everyone, this is the honey which every life will taste, enjoy, and praise. One who realizes its incomparable flavor will understand its exaltedness, its benefits, and its bliss.”

Sufi Short Story..... WHY THE DERVISH HIDES HIMSELF Rumi’s son asked him: ‘How and why is the dervish hidden? Is this done by superficial disguise? Is there something within himself which he conceals?’ The Master said: ‘It might be done in any way. Some write love-poems, and people think that they mean ordinary love. The dervish may hide his true position in the Way by adopting a calling. There are writers; and some, like Baba Farid, are traders. Still others follow various different outer activities. ”This may be done for the sake of defence against the shallow. Some purposely act in a manner which society might disapprove. ‘The Prophet has therefore said: “God has hidden the Men of Greatest Knowledge.” ‘A device may be adopted by the Followers of the Way to gain peace, when they might otherwise be hindered.’ The Master then recited: Ever-knowing-as they hide they seek. Appearing other than they are-to the ordinary man; In inward light they roam-making miracles come to pass Yet they are really known-to none........

During the Rawalpindi Conspiracy case, Faiz was arrested and was summoned to court several times. During the way to court, once the police car broke down, and they took Faiz to the court on Tonga, a horse carriage. Due to slow speed of Tonga, people started walking with Tonga, with Faiz still tied in Handcuffs. By the time the Tonga reached court, there was a quite a crowd with him, supporters and tamashbeen altogether. This event inspired Faiz Sahib to pen this beautiful poem: Chashm-e-num, jaan-e-shoreeda Qaafi nahin Tohmat-e-ishq posheeda qaafi nahin Aaj bazaar mein pa-ba joulaan chalo Dast afhsan chalo, mast-o-raqsaan chalo Khaak bar sar chalo, khoon badamaan chalo Raah takta hai sab sheher-e-jaanan chalo Hakim-e-sheher bhi, majmaa-e-aam bhi Teer-e-ilzaam bhi, sang-e-dushnam bhi Subh-e-nashad bhi, roz-e-naakam bhi Unka dum-saaz apne siwa kaun hai Sheher-e-jaanaan mein ab ba sifa kaun hai Dast-e-qaatil ke shayaan rahaa kaun hai Rakht-e-dil bandh lo, dil figaro chalo Phir hamain qatl ho jaayein, ae yaaro chalo! Hafiz e-Shirazi One of his well-known Ghazal... O beautiful wine-bearer, bring forth the cup and put it to my lips Path of love seemed easy at first, what came was many hardships. With its perfume, the morning breeze unlocks those beautiful locks The curl of those dark ringlets, many hearts to shreds strips. In the house of my Beloved, how can I enjoy the feast Since the church bells call the call that for pilgrimage equips. With wine color your robe, one of the old Magi’s best tips Trust in this traveler’s tips, who knows of many paths and trips. The dark midnight, fearful waves, and the tempestuous whirlpool How can he know of our state, while ports house his unladen ships. I followed my own path of love, and now I am in bad repute How can a secret remain veiled, if from every tongue it drips? If His presence you seek, Hafiz, then why yourself eclipse? Stick to the One you know, let go of imaginary trips.

Story behind Bulleh Shahs “Tere Ishq Nachaya, Karke Thaiya Thaiya” Bulleh Shah was a Noble Syed (descendant of the Prophet Muhammad), while his Mentor Shah Anayat was Arayein, a cast associated with agriculture and considered not as noble in those days. Bulleh Shah family got offended by his love and respect for Shah Anayat. Hence, they sent a group of respected elder sisters and sisters-in-law to convince him. Bulleh Shah wrote a beautiful poem on this: “Bulleh no Samjhavan Aiyan, Pehnaan te Parajayan” Manle Bulleya saada kehnaa, chud de palla Raiyan” Bulleh Shah’s sisters and sister-in-law come to persuade him Bulleh, listen to our advice, and forbid the company of Arain (Shah Anayat)!” Download this beautiful kalam in voice of ABIDA PARVEEN at http://ift.tt/2gjPPI3
