Growing up in Pakistan in 1990s was a time where there were two parallels genre of music. Pop/Rock bands such as Vital Signs and String or rather classical singers such as Abida Parveen and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. 'Saeen' by Junoon was an experiment to blend both genres. Ali Azmat, Salman Ahmad and Brian O' Connel used Sufiana Kalam over tunes composed over both western and eastern instruments. Electric and Bass guitar merged with sounds of Tabla and Dholak for the first time. Download 'Saeen' , a song that created a new Genre 'Sufi Rock' here and created history. http://ift.tt/18Do04F #junoon
