Hazrat Mahmud Shabistari R.A “Penetrate the heart of just one drop of water, and you will be flooded by a hundred oceans.”
via TheSufi.com http://ift.tt/1AxDLDF
Hazrar Mahmud Shabistari R.A Mahmud-shabistari Mahmud Shabistari was one of Sufi’s greatest poets of the 14th Century. Like Rumi, Shabistari lived in turbulent times. This period was often fraught with dangers, in particular the Mongol invasions brought much devastation. However Shabistari was able to write much poetry and synthesise much of the Sufi wisdom. He had a style similar to Ibn Arabi and expressed Sufi philosophy in a moving and simple language. As David Fieldler says of Shabistari “ Shabistari possessed a unique genius for summarizing the profound and often complex teachings of Sufism in a beautiful, aphoristic, and concise fashion, which often leaves the reader speechless when the deeper meanings of his verse are grasped. “ Shabistari’s poetry was inspired by his own mystical experiences. In a style unique to himself he expressed the universal truths and experiences shared by other the Sufi Poets; Rumi, Hafiz, Ibn Arabi, Attar and Rabia al Basri . (Source Internet)

Hazrat Shah Hussain R.A Sujjen bin raatan hoiyan wadyan Ranjha jogi, main jogiani, kamli kar kar sadian Mass jhurey jhur pinjer hoyya, karken lagiyan hadyan Main ayani niyoonh ki janan, birhoon tannawan gadiyan Kahe Husain faqeer sain da, larr tairay main lagiyaan..... Translation: Nights swell and merge into each other as I stand a wait for him. Since the day Ranjha became jogi, I have scarcely been my old self and people every where call me crazy. My young flesh crept into creases leaving my young bones a creaking skeleton. I was too young to know the ways of love; and now as the nights swell and merge into each other, I play host to that unkind guest - separation. 711 URS MUBARIK OF SARKAR 6TH TO 10TH FEB.2015. DELHI INDIA. Hazrat Khwaja Sayed Nizamuddin Auliya (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) Name: Hazrat Sheikh Khwaja Sayed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya Title : Sultan-ul-Mashaikh, Mehboob-e-Ilahi. (محبوبِ الٰہی) (سُلطان المشائخ) Silsila: Chistiya Predecessor : Hazrat Sheikh Fariduddin Masood Ganjshakar (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) Successor : Hazrat Nasiruddin Chiragh Dehlavi (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) Date of Birth: 27 Safar (636Hijri) Date of Wisaal: 17th Rabi-us-Sani (725Hijri) Date of Urs: 17th, 18th and 19th Rabi-us-Sani Resting at: Delhi, India Hazrat Sheikh Khwaja Sayed Nizamuddin Awliya (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) (حضرت شیخ خواجة سیّد محمد نظام الدّین اولیاء) represents in many ways the pinnacle of the Chishti Order (Silsila). His spiritual guide, Hazrat Baba Fareed (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ), said to him on appointing him as his successor, "Be like a big tree so that Allah's creation, the human beings in their vast multitudes, may find rest and solace under your shadow." This partly explains why he admitted so many men into the Chishti order as his disciples. Hazrat Nizamuddin Awliya (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) sent his well-versed and caring disciples to far-flung areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajastan, Gujarat, Bihar, and Bengal amongst other places to spread the word of truth. With regard to the Sufi path, Hazrat Nizamuddin Awliya (رحمتہ اللہ علیہ) taught the following: “For a dervish, three things are necessary. They all begin with an 'ain' (an Arabic letter): Ishq (love), Aql (intelligence) and Ilm (knowledge).”

Faiz Ahmad Faiz - Meray Dil Meray Musafir
Faiz Ahmad Faiz
Tumhen Kya Kahun K Kya Hai
Shab-E-Gam Buri Bala Hai
Hamain Ye Bhi Tha Ghaneemat
Jo Koi Shumar Hota
Hamain Kya Bura Tha Marna
Agar Ek Bar Hota
[How can I convey to you, my beloved
how horrible is a night of grief!
It would suffice to me
if there were just some count
I would gladly welcome death
if it were to come but once.]
