Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul returned to me,
And answered "I Myself am Heaven and Hell!"

نسیمی از حجاز آید کہ ناید؟ Allama Iqbal's Armaghaan-e-Hijaz portrayedby Sadeqain

نسیمی از حجاز آید کہ ناید؟
سرآمد روزگار این فقیری
دگر داناے راز آید کہ ناید؟

The bliss of the past may arrive, or not"
That breeze of Hijaz may arrive, or not
This Fakir's last time has arrived so near now
"May arrive knowers of secrets (sage), or not

This is a passage from Dr. Allama Iqbals's Armaghan-e-Hijaz (The Gift for Hijaz). During his last years, Allama wanted to go on Hajj and started writing these couplets. His wish was not fulfilled but like Mevlana Rumi, the sheer state of sorrow and gnosis, was a Divine Decree to create a work of genius, so poignant, so beautiful

Sadeqain, a renowed artists from Karachi for his murals, painted Allama's verses, which is featured here

Sufi Whirling Ensembles from Turkey - Download Sufi Sema Music MP3

'Listen to the Reed' is the first verse of Masnavi Mevlana Rumi, a book eulogised as the Quran of Persian. After the disappreane of his spiritual master, Shams Tabraiz, Mevlana went through a state of sorrow and gnosis, engaging in Sema/Sufi Whirling and his yearning coming out of him in form of incessant verses, The Masnavi.
