The following verse of Quran are widely quotes as the beginning of the Sufism... It's almost like a Divine poem.. SubhanAllah! : "Allah is the Light Of the heavens and the earth The parable of His Light Is as if there were a Niche And within a Lamp The Lamp enclosed in a Glass The glass as it were The brilliant star Lit from a blesses Tree An Olive, neither of the East Nor of the West Whose oil is well-nigh Luminous! Through fire scarce touched it Light upon Light Allah guides whom He will To His Light" --- Surah Al-Nur [The Light] Surah 24, verse 35

Real definitions of Wisest, Richest and Poorest... Baba Farid said four questions were put to 700 saints and all of them gave the same reply.
These questions were:
1. Who is the wisest? "One who rejects the world "; they replied.
2. Who is the most saintly? "One who does not get changed at everything."
3. Who is the richest and the wealthiest of all men? "One who is content."
4. Who is the most needy? "One who gives up contentment"

Hazrat Khwaja Nasiruddin Mahmood Chiragh Dehlavi R.A Subject the ego (nafs) to self mortification - eat less, sleep less, avoid company and keep your hearts busy in dhikr (remembrance of God).
***wishes everyone a very blessed Eid-ul-Azha*** This eid commemorates the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim [Abraham], who is called the father of prophets as a hundreds of prophets [including Prophet Muhammad] are from his lineage. There is a story that Hazrat Ibrahim invited a Zoroastrian [fire-worshiper] for dinner. When the Zoroastrian started eating food, he didn't start from Bismillah so Hazrat Ibrahim politely asked him to thanks Allah for providing food. He got offended and left the dinner saying I don't believe in Allah at all.
At this time, Angel Jibreel come to Hazrat Ibrahim with a revelation. "Ibrahim", says Allah. "I fed this person for 80 years despite he never thanked me once! How could you let him go away when I asked you to treat as a guest. Bring him back".
Hazrat Ibrahim ran barefoot and pleads the person to come back to the dinner. He was so impressed with Hazrat Ibrahim's hospitality that he embraces Islam. May God help us follow the footsteps of this great prophet. Amen.
